Emile Kees

Emile (1995) is a UK-born artist currently studying at the International Center of Photography in New York City. Having grown up in a small family of artists, Emile’s inspirations are drawn from various mediums; from painting to sculpture to performance. In his work, he meditates on the idea of home, family and the passage of time by recreating scenes, or embellishing candid details, from daily life.

He has taught at the Cyprus College of Art, assisted with the exchange program at the European Academy of Art in Brittany, and worked with the European Capital of Culture 2017.
